Indivisible Sonoma County General Membership Meeting

Millions of Americans have personal stories about how the current healthcare system in America is negatively impacting them today. Many want to see major changes, but are not sure about the different proposals.

What is Medicare for All versus Medicare for America? Are universal healthcare and single payer the same? How can a person get involved in working to promote healthcare reform? Come to the May 28th general meeting of Indivisible Sonoma County to hear Mary McDevitt, a physician involved with Physicians for a National Health Plan, and Maria Behan, a writer and founder of Sonoma County for Single-Payer, discuss the healthcare bills currently in Congress and how you can help get Medicare for All legislation enacted.

SCRIPTS
Nancy Pelosi is now using the same talking points as Mitt Romney:  that the American people “aren’t there yet” for impeachment. This is an abdication of her duty to decide whether Trump has committed impeachable offenses (hint:  he has, many times over) and to then hold him accountable using the sole means the Constitution has provided.

Despite a blue wave driven by those who want to counter Trump, she and other House leaders are failing to lead – so it’s up to us to demand that they do. We’re asking all Indivisible members to call several times this week and ask that the House begin impeachment hearings now and that they push aggressively in all other hearings as well, instead of maintaining their current snail’s pace.

If the rule of law isn’t enforced, it will cease to exist – and that can’t wait until the next election.
