Actions! 5.27-6.2.2019

Make your calls. Send postcards. Dig deep and build your resistance!

As we continue to pressure the administration to release an unredacted Mueller Report, and to provide effectively for refugees reaching our borders, we also pressure Congress to do the right thing. Our duty is to hold our elected officials, and this Administration, accountable.

Indivisible Sonoma County General Membership Meeting

Millions of Americans have personal stories about how the current healthcare system in America is negatively impacting them today. Many want to see major changes, but are not sure about the different proposals.

What is Medicare for All versus Medicare for America? Are universal healthcare and single payer the same? How can a person get involved in working to promote healthcare reform? Come to the May 28th general meeting of Indivisible Sonoma County to hear Mary McDevitt, a physician involved with Physicians for a National Health Plan, and Maria Behan, a writer and founder of Sonoma County for Single-Payer, discuss the healthcare bills currently in Congress and how you can help get Medicare for All legislation enacted.

SCRIPTS
Trump is hollowing out our government and replacing it with autocracy – a dictatorship. He has decimated departments, refused to uphold the law, enriched himself at the taxpayers’ expense. And now he is taking the next step in the autocrat’s playbook: using the immense powers of the government to go after his political opponents.

Throwing shade or getting him to throw a tantrum does absolutely nothing to slow his grip on power. It’s time for our leaders to accept their responsibility and begin impeachment hearings to make the case against Trump in front of the American people. The rule of law ceases to exist if no attempt is made to uphold it.

We urge all members to call your Congressman several times this week and ask the House to begin impeachment hearings.
