Action! 7.16-7.18.2018

Don’t allow those pundits to sound discouraging. Our voices are raised - together. We stand vigil - together. We are stronger together, and together we form the resistance.

Rally. March. Call. Write. Act. And VOTE!

Usually, we urge you to call only our local elected officials - our Senators, our Representatives. But the urgency of the Supreme Court pick is such that we encourage you to call your friends and family members to urge them to make calls.

Encourage those calls to be respectful, and firm. Quiet voices have impact - let’s all call.

Postcard from Home in Sonoma Valley
Here is an opportunity to begin writing to Independent & NPP (no party preference) voters in CA-22 in support of ANDREW JANZ for Congress.  He is trying to unseat Trump’s lapdog, Devin Nunes. Nunes won this district in 2016 by 35 points, but Trump only won this district by less than 10 points, which makes Nunes potentially vulnerable for 2018. (PLEASE NOTE: The messaging for this campaign cannot include any references to The Democratic Party or The Blue Wave.)

Please respond directly to and indicate how many postcards you would like to commit to writing on behalf of Andrew Janz over the next 3 months (minimum request is 20). These can be written at home or during an upcoming postcarding session (with you covering the cost of supplies & postage).

ALL cards will be collected on/before Sept. 25th and mailed back to Janz's campaign (so that they can mail to voters from an in-district address).

Vigil to Confront Corruption and Demand Democracy

Wednesday, July 18
5 - 6:00 PM
Courthouse Square at southwest corner on Third Street - 600 3rd St
Santa Rosa

From attacks on the rule of law to conflicts of interest, ethics violations and flagrant abuse of government offices for personal gain, the corruption of the American government by the President, his associates and many in his party has reached a new, profound low.

Officials are trading on the power invested in our institutions for personal and financial gain rather than for the welfare of the American people. From attacks on the Russia investigation to ethics scandals in the highest offices in the land, we must reject attempts to shield corruption from political consequences, public scrutiny, and legal accountability.

These issues are on top of years of challenges to the basic health of our democracy: from money in politics to attempts to shape congressional districts to manipulate outcomes and laws written intentionally to exclude voters from participating in our democracy.

Together, we must confront corruption and demand democracy: here are our demands. Join a vigil today! Contact Becky Montgomery at (707) 484-9414 or
