Action! 8.27-8.29.2018

No one is above the law. This last week reinforces that.

That man in the White House is melting. Disintegrating. Falling apart. And we can help. Let’s start by being strongly opposed to the appointment of Judge Kavanaugh to a lifetime position on the Supreme Court.

Let’s continue by pouring our energy into writing postcards, knocking on doors, sending texts, and making phone calls.

We must Resist. Rally. March. Call. Write. Act. And VOTE!

Resistance Labs is committed to supporting organizers on the ground who continue the struggle for progress. This week we will be sending over 40,000 texts to help mobilize and engage new activist for Unite For Justice’s national day of action on August 26th, 2018. Rallies will be happening in nearly all 50 states to fight against Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and demand that our senators act NOW to protect our most fundamental rights and freedoms, like voting rights, civil rights, women’s rights, and more. We can’t afford to wait–—help us support this work and sign up to get texting today!

Senate Republicans plan to hold a vote on the proposed appointment of Judge Kavanaugh to a lifetime position on the Supreme Court.

If you can do nothing else, call our Senators. We hear that calls to senators are not as strong or as frequent — and some senators are considering voting for him because of that.

You can call (use our scripts) to Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris. But that’s not enough.

We urge you to call your friends and family members in West Virginia, Indiana, North Dakota, Alaska, Maine, and Alabama to encourage them to call their senators.

In particular, Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski say that they aren’t hearing from many callers — so they are looking toward voting for Mr. Kavanaugh. We need you to reach out again and again to encourage your friends, family members (even relative strangers!) to make those phone calls.

Judge Kavanaugh has a difficult record on Roe v. Wade, Presidential culpability, impeachment, torture of prisoners, and  Civil Rights issues. His full record is being hidden from evaluation.

Continued calls help reinforce both Democratic and Republican Senators who prefer a moderate and thoughtful Supreme Court. Mr. Kavanaugh’s own advertising indicates that he is a ‘strict constructionist’ and therefore too rigid to find ways to apply our constitution to new situations.

Encourage your friends and family to make calls respectful and firm calls to their senators. Quiet voices have impact - let’s all call.
