Hard work pays off, as we are all learning. And we need you to continue working hard as we fight this terrible, regressive tax bill. This week we are focusing on passing a clean Dream Act, halting the Trump Tax Heist, and saving net neutrality. We love this photo from our highly successful tax action on Monday where we joined with Indivisibles from East Bay, Sausalito and San Francisco and told our stories: this is a massive transfer of wealth from the poor and the middle class to Trump and his cronies. Upcoming actions and events are shown below. Join us!
Three of California’s Republican House members voted NO on the tax scam. Why? Because you called. You mobilized. You showed them over and over again that we were watching.
You can stop the Tax Scam from becoming law. You can open the possibility that the Republican Senate and House will address the needs of all the tax payers in the country. You will help stop ‘trickle down,’ a failed economic policy, from crippling the US as it crippled Kansas.
Take Action - Do you want to see a Republican demagogue with low impulse control be defeated? No, not that one.Take a moment to think of Alabama, and think of what you can do.
Follow this link to find out how to send postcards to voters in Alabama, and how to flip congressional districts in California.
Tuesday’s election results reinforced our engagement. Some of us made calls and sent texts to help turn out voters in many communities.
In the next week, you can continue this momentum. Attend a meeting at your Representative's office to talk about the Trump Tax Scam. Learn more about the environmental impact of Trump policies. Participate in a discussion of voting rights and voter suppression.
And as we enter the season of giving thanks and giving back, please don’t forget your neighbors (we have links to help you give back!)
November is off with a bang -- as we diligently work to halt the Trump Tax Scam, protect the constitutional limits on executive power, and ensure that Robert Mueller’s investigation continues unimpeded. Join together, Indivisible: our actions will protect these institutions for ourselves and generations to come.
Proposed Repeal of the Clean Power Plan

Despite the serious impacts of climate change now and in the future, the Republican administration is proposing to repeal the federal rule that was issued to control our country’s biggest source of climate pollution — fossil-fuel-fired power plants. The administration has proposed to repeal the rule now and consider whether to replace it later.
Take Action. Help Get Out the Vote in Virginia, from the comfort of your own couch! Virginians go to the polls on November 7 in the first statewide election since November 2016. They’ve built a tool for Indivisibles ANYWHERE in the US to phone-bank or text-bank Virginians to remind them to vote. Want to help? Sign up for a volunteer shift now!
Take Action by letting Congress know that the proposed tax changes are completely unacceptable. The plan that the Republican Senate majority sent to the Republican House majority calls for a tax cut of $1.5 trillion. That’s $1,500,000,000,000. Most of that cut will be provided to individuals and corporations that have the highest incomes. Because the Republicans choose not to work collaboratively with Democrats, they decided to create a balanced budget by making $1.5 Trillion in cuts.
