Hard work pays off, as we are all learning. And we need you to continue working hard as we fight this terrible, regressive tax bill. Take advantage of all the creative ways progressive groups have found to increase the volume of our voices - call into RED areas to talk with colleagues. And don’t forget to celebrate our wins!
The Tax Scam is not a done deal - we have the time and energy to continue resisting this terrible plan, and to urge our Senators and Representatives to resist! It’s time to make calls. And we need to act immediately, so don’t put this off.
Call Republican members of our California delegation, and highlight the damage the tax bill will cause to ordinary people like us.

Call other progressive voices in Maine and Arizona. This is how we will fight the tax bill - one senator at a time. Indivisible is pulling out all the stops to defeat the tax scam… and bringing back our peer-to-peer calling tool (AKA hubdialer).
Click here to sign up to make phone calls from our peer-to-peer dialing tool. You’ll get an email confirmation with a login, password, and URL to sign into the Indivisible system. Once signed in, you can start making calls immediately -- and they will give you a script to make it as easy as possible!
Next, you’ll call a voter in Arizona or Maine. These folks are your friends -- they attended the Women’s March, they’re fighting for a #DreamActNow, and fight for progressive causes.
You explain how they have power now. You’ll remind them why the continued fight against the tax scam is so important -- and why they have particular power in this moment.
You ask them to use their power. You’ll ask them to call their senator in opposition to the bill, and to share their own reasons for opposing it.
The tool connects them to their Senator’s office. The call tool will allow you to automatically patch them through to the Senators’ district offices.
And don’t forget, we have a lot of leverage in this fight. Here is another tool to call progressives in Maine, Arizona, and Florida.
Republican Senators Susan Collins (ME), Jeff Flake (AZ), and Marco Rubio (FL) voted for the tax scam, but have also said the bill wasn’t perfect. Amp up the pressure on these targets: Sign up now to start making calls to progressives in red states. You can make calls as much as you want every day from 6am to 6pm our time until the tax scam fight is over.
Our phone calls clearly make a difference, so it's time to increase the pressure. As Republicans rush to finish their tax plan, a USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll, released on Sunday, showed that only 32 percent of Americans support the Republican tax plan, with more than half predicting it would not lower tax bills for their families or help the economy in a major way. The people are right and the GOP is wrong. Please keep calling and let our MoCs know you oppose this bill.
Time to make some calls (Phone Scripts 12.14 - 12.17.17). Use the web or Amplify.

This past January many thousands of women marched on Washington to express to the new president and Congress that women’s rights are human rights and their power cannot be ignored. That same day, hundreds of sister marches took place in cities and small towns across America, including Santa Rosa. It was the largest one-day protest in American history.
Women’s March is a powerful film about democracy, human rights and what it means to stand up for your values in America today. Meet people who organize for social action throughout Sonoma County, including IndySoCo’s Karen D’Or.
Make certain you put our next General Meeting on your calendar!
