Send a tweet. Multiply that by 15.

1. Take Action
No single issue gets to the heart of how much our government has changed over the past year as the Republican tax bill.

It’s not the time to step back; the more we step forward and make our voices heard, the better chance we have that Members of Congress will say NO in the final vote.

Attend the Rally in San Francisco on Monday, December 5 (see below).

Did you save your message about the tweet storm a week ago? Let’s increase the pressure on Senators and Representatives.

And don’t forget to come to Santa Rosa’s Verizon store on December 7. Net Neutrality is a vital part of equal access to information.

2. Scripts
Our scripts help you talk with our Senators and Representatives. We think of them as prompts.
Use the one (below) to reach out to our Senators and Representatives. (It’s short enough to tweet, too!)

"Republicans own this bill, now and forever. It damages the middle class and benefits to the very wealthy. This is a fight to the end; we will not forget. No expectation of reasonable, responsible Republicans, no moderates, no mavericks. Going forward, there can be no quarter."

Did you know you can find the twitter handle for every Senator here?

And every member of the House of Representatives here?

More scripts are on Indivisible Sonoma County's site here: Phone Scripts 12.4 thru 12.6.17.

3. Meetings/Events
Bay Area Residents Hold Rally Outside Sen. Harris’ Office to Resist GOP Tax Bill
Monday, December 4, 12-1:00PM
50 United Nations Plaza, San Francisco, CA
Contact: Nancy Latham, nancylatham63@gmail.com, 510-227-9445, Indivisible East Bay

Join members  of Members of Indivisible East Bay, Indivisible Sonoma County, Indivisible Sausalito, and other Indivisible groups who will gather at United Nations Plaza in San Francisco in front of Senator Kamala Harris’s offices to share stories of the harm that the GOP’s proposed tax bill will cause in their lives.

The “Halt the Trump Tax Heist” event will bring people from across the Bay Area together to emphasize how the GOP’s tax bill could cause financial stress, cost them their healthcare, and make their education unaffordable. Through the power of activism and storytelling, they will protest the further concentration of wealth in the US in the top 1%.

Voters oppose this plan by a 2-to-1 margin. House Republicans abandoned their constituents when they voted for the tax bill. The question now is whether Senators will also choose to keep promises to their donors, the wealthy, and the well-connected at the expense of their constituents by voting for the GOP bill.

Take Action for Net Neutrality
Thursday, December 7, 1:00 PM
Santa Rosa’s Verizon store.
844 4th St.
Santa Rosa, CA 95404

Directions:
It's 4th street, the main strip in Santa Rosa. The street outside is public and we will be protesting there. There's also a dealer in the mall just down the street and we should have people outside the mall as well (more traffic).

Join others who are outraged by top Verizon lawyer turned FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s plan to gut net neutrality. Groups will protest at Verizon retail stores across the country on Thursday, December 7th, one week before an expected vote at the FCC.

Protesters will make it clear to members of Congress that the time is now to stand for net neutrality, not Verizon’s bottom line. And please remember, this event is about protesting actions of Verizon executives, lobbyists and their supporters in Washington, not the employees at these stores.
