Conversations for Action: The Art of One-on-Ones
One-on-one conversations are the building blocks of organizing. Through one-on-ones, you are able to build strong organizing relationships, which in turn is how you begin to act together. In this training, we will talk about what these conversations look like, what makes them most productive, and provide ample opportunity to practice this crucial organizing skill.
A brief description of Good Guys at the Barricades:
Good Guys is a training institute, center for mentorship, and hub for folks who are hungry for opportunities in the face of the Trump presidency, but who have not been connected to organizing before.
Since the election, there have been many voters who are horrified by the prospect of a Trump presidency, but who have not been actively involved in politics, organizing, or activism beyond voting, canvassing, signing a petition, or donating to causes that are important to them.
Good Guys seeks to give newly activated folks a sense of their own potential unique contribution in this moment, through reflection on their networks, communities, and resource; the tools to think about building power to meet whatever challenges come our way; and the skills to be good organizers - all in an accessible way.
Currently with hubs in Washington, DC, San Francisco, and New York.
