The Russians would like to talk with Putin critic and our former ambassador.
And they would be happy to talk with their 12 military officers. Families remain separated. The president wants to appoint a man who lied to Congress about torture to the Supreme Court.
If this makes you angry, it’s time to call.
Do it every day.
Say It: Trump and the Republicans are Betraying America!
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [the MoC] to demand that they say it: Trump and the Republicans are betraying our country!
We don’t need to wonder about collusion. Helsinki was collusion. Helsinki was the clear surrender of America to Russia by our president*. And Republicans, despite their faint protests, are doing nothing to stop him. Our nation has never been more shamed and it has rarely been in as grave a danger. This is no time for carefully worded condemnations. [The MoC] must name this forcefully for all to hear: this is betrayal. This is treasonous.
Reunite the Children NOW!
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [the MoC] to demand that the Trump regime reunite all separated migrant children with their parents immediately.
The federal judge who ordered the families reunited has lost patience. No wonder: the regime is operating in bad faith. They only respond to one thing: pressure. I’m asking [the MoC] to apply it in spades.
Hands Off Bill Browder and Michael McFaul!
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [the MoC] to demand that the Trump regime state unequivocally that it will not hand Putin critic Bill Browder and former Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul over to Putin.
Yes, that’s at least some of what Trump discussed in private with Putin: handing over two Americans Putin likes least. It’s not enough to betray his country, Trump will hand over individuals. Now SH Sanders says he’s “still weighing the offer.” NO WAY IN HELL.
NO on Brett Kavanaugh
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [the MoC] to oppose the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
Kavanaugh is the hard-right judge conservatives have been drooling over appointing for years. His appointment comes after cheating kept Merrick Garland from being appointed and after cheating made Trump president*. And – he must not be allowed to judge Trump, who is under criminal investigation. Kavanaugh would be a disastrous judge. VOTE NO.
NO on Kathy Kraninger, complicit in child separations!
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [the MoC] to oppose the nomination of Kathy Kraninger to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Kraninger has no experience in consumer finance or banking. She comes from the OMB, where it “stands to reason she was very involved” in ripping migrant children from their families. She deserves to be blacklisted and never work again, not to head the CFPB. Vote NO.
NO on SB 1088: Don’t Let PG&E Off the Hook
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [Senator/Assemblyperson] to oppose SB 1088, which would let PG&E off the hook for future wildfires.
We’ve lost our homes. Too many have lost their lives. PG&E did this to us and they must be never be given any opening to avoid responsibility in the future. No legislation must ever do that. Ever.

Fully Fund the Commission on Human Rights!
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask that the Board of Supervisors rescind their recent budget amendment which reduced funding for the County Commission on Human Rights.
There could hardly be a worse time to cut funding for the Commission on Human Rights. Hate crimes are up, many of our citizens are terrified that ICE will descend on our country, Trump is sowing division in the worst dictatorial fashion. If there was ever a time to reduce funding (which I doubt), this certainly is not it. Please fully fund the Commission and support them in their critical work.
Background (from CHR vice chair Dmitra Smith):
"The Board of Supervisors recently approved a budget which ended staff support for the Commission on Human Rights (as well as our sister Commission on the Status of Women). We lobbied our supervisors in vain. We have just received word that we will no longer be able to hold meetings in the PRMD hearing room but have been moved to the HR Training Center. I'm not going to speculate on the reasons for this, but as I hear that funds are tight post fires, I'm aware that $4 million dollars was spent on fighting for immunity for the deputy who killed Andy Lopez, so it's more about priorities from my view.
"In the past few years, I and many others have worked diligently to establish the Commission on Human Rights as a beacon of light within the county government system. A place where truly marginalized voices can be amplified and uplifted. Where justice, intersectionality and truth can grow and flourish. We have published reports on racism in schools, advocated for our unhoused neighbors, fought back against hate crimes, supported our immigrant, LGBTQ+, Disability communities, and so much more, not to mention mentoring over 100 Sonoma County youth in the Junior Commission on Human Rights.
"I am told that the CAO office will advise the supervisors on how the commission will function. I don't know any of those people and they certainly don't understand what I do as the Vice Chair. I already work hundreds of hours per year for free and I am honored to do so, but we can not do it without adequate support and an appropriate venue for our monthly public meetings.
"If you believe in the importance of having a fully functioning Commission on Human Rights and Commission on the Status of Women, I URGE you to contact your supervisors and express your concern. We still have not gotten permission from the BOS to fundraise so that we can get this PSA I directed into theaters. Now we'll need to fundraise to function. I will not go quietly into the night with this one. I have worked too hard and too long these past six years. The people of Sonoma County deserve much better. This is not the time in our nation, state or county to diminish the work of the Commission on Human Rights.”
