Call your Senators about the Supreme Court appointment. They need and want to hear from you.
Call your County Supervisors about mental health funding.
Call your Assembly Members and State Senators about saving our environment.
If you can do nothing else, call. If you can do many things for the Blue Wave, call.
Enough is enough. Time to make some calls.
Reunite the ALL of the Children NOW
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [the MoC] to continue to demand that ALL of the migrant children separated from their parents be returned to their families NOW.
Judge Sabraw set the date of July 26th for the reunification of all of the separated children. 565 are still not reunited. Secretaries Nielsen and Azar should be in jail, held for contempt. Instead, they’re free and the children are still lost. This is an atrocity, an unconscionable abuse of both the children and their parents. And it’s being done in our name, by our country. It must STOP.
Will [the MoC] demand every single day that ALL of the children be reunited NOW?
Trump’s Guilt is in Plain Sight
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [the MoC] to drop any pretense that Trump isn’t 100% guilty of conspiring with Russia to both win the election and to rule.
While Mueller’s findings will be important, Trump proclaims his guilt every single day in nearly every action he takes. No one who is innocent would do 1/10th of what he has done to obstruct and condemn efforts to bring him to justice. His string of firings of intelligence officials is just one example of many. He is guilty. He is telling us. Believe him and say it publicly. He has betrayed our country.
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [the MoC] to push to have ICE abolished and remaining necessary functions handed over to other agencies.
ICE has become Trump’s Gestapo, a force of unrestrained cruelty. It has no place in a fair and just America. It’s time for it to go. [The MoC] may not have the power to dissolve it now, but you still have your voice. Demand that it be shut down.
Scuttle Kavanaugh’s Nomination
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [the MoC] to continue her efforts to uncover the truth about Brett Kavanaugh and to scuttle his nomination.
Lying to Congress. Running up huge debts. Hiding background papers. Rushing a confirmation. Kavanaugh appears to have plenty to hide. What’s more, his nomination will provide the vote that destroys womens’ right to choose. That eviscerates civil rights. That suppresses citizens’ right to vote. And that gives a dangerous dictator free rein. STOP HIM.
NO on SBs 1088 & 901
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask the [Assemblyperson/Senator] to oppose SBs 1088 & 901, which would give PG&E a free pass.
PG&E burned down our homes through their negligence. They don’t deserve to be protected and they don’t deserve to be let off the hook. If [the Assemblyperson/Senator] can’t see that, they don’t deserve to represent me. Period.
YES on Clean Electricity, YES on SB100
This is especially important if you live in CA Assembly District 4, Cecilia Aguiar-Curry’s district! She tends to cave to the oil and gas lobby and needs to know that’s NOT OK.
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask the Assemblyperson to vote YES on SB100 so that we have 100% clean energy by 2045.
I support 100% clean electricity. Passing this bill will set California on a path that reduces fossil fuel use, improves air quality, spurs innovation and green job growth, all while maintaining flexibility for those designing solutions. It's important to pass this bill now because long term electricity generation decisions are being made right now, and we need to send a strong signal that we will rely on 100% clean energy in California.
I expect my state representatives to lead on climate issues. Please vote YES on SB100. I’ll be watching.
CALIFORNIA AIR RESOURCES BOARD
Protect Our Emissions Standards

The California Air Resources Board is having a public hearing on amendments to the Low-Emission Vehicle III Greenhouse Gas Emission Regulation on Sept. 27th at 9:00AM in Sacramento. The purpose of the amendments is to protect California’s vehicle emissions standards from an attack by Trump’s EPA, which is maintaining that we don’t have the right to set our own standards.
Please use the link above to write to the CARB and be sure to submit your comments by September 14th. Here’s a sample script, but feel free to write your own:
I'm writing in support of your proposed amendments to the Low-Emission Vehicle III Greenhouse Gas Emission Regulation. We must, at all costs, protect our own stringent standards against attack by Trump's EPA.

Fully Fund the Human Rights Commission
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask the Board of Supervisors to immediately restore the staff support, physical space and phone which the Commission on Human Rights needs to do their work protecting the rights of residents of Sonoma County.
The Board recently withdrew funds for staff support (for only twelve hours a week) and even the use of a room and phone used to do their work of the Commission on Human Rights. Human rights are under attack daily by the Trump regime. The last thing we need in Sonoma County is to withdraw support for their protection at this critical time. Please restore the funds immediately!
Background (from CHR vice chair Dmitra Smith):
"The Board of Supervisors recently approved a budget which ended staff support for the Commission on Human Rights (as well as our sister Commission on the Status of Women). We lobbied our supervisors in vain. We have just received word that we will no longer be able to hold meetings in the PRMD hearing room but have been moved to the HR Training Center. I'm not going to speculate on the reasons for this, but as I hear that funds are tight post fires, I'm aware that $4 million dollars was spent on fighting for immunity for the deputy who killed Andy Lopez, so it's more about priorities from my view.
"In the past few years, I and many others have worked diligently to establish the Commission on Human Rights as a beacon of light within the county government system. A place where truly marginalized voices can be amplified and uplifted. Where justice, intersectionality and truth can grow and flourish. We have published reports on racism in schools, advocated for our unhoused neighbors, fought back against hate crimes, supported our immigrant, LGBTQ+, Disability communities, and so much more, not to mention mentoring over 100 Sonoma County youth in the Junior Commission on Human Rights.
"I am told that the CAO office will advise the supervisors on how the commission will function. I don't know any of those people and they certainly don't understand what I do as the Vice Chair. I already work hundreds of hours per year for free and I am honored to do so, but we can not do it without adequate support and an appropriate venue for our monthly public meetings.
"If you believe in the importance of having a fully functioning Commission on Human Rights and Commission on the Status of Women, I URGE you to contact your supervisors and express your concern. We still have not gotten permission from the BOS to fundraise so that we can get this PSA I directed into theaters. Now we'll need to fundraise to function. I will not go quietly into the night with this one. I have worked too hard and too long these past six years. The people of Sonoma County deserve much better. This is not the time in our nation, state or county to diminish the work of the Commission on Human Rights.”
