That government continues to separate more than 400 children from their parents. That man in the White House has no control moral compass. That man waiting to join the Supreme Court lies, skirts the truth, and lacks candor. That administration wants to pay for tax cuts by cutting support for individuals.
After all those ‘thats,’ have you called our Senators and Representatives?
(And don’t forget the value of California’s clean air - write, too!)
Infants and toddlers who have forgotten their parents. Members of Congress who have forgotten their oaths of office. A Supreme Court nominee who has clearly forgotten years of working for the Bush White House.
Let’s remind them why we are here. Time to make some calls.
News over the last few hours may have restored your faith in democracy and the rule of law. But no act you can take is more effective than making these phone calls to our Senators and Representatives, as well as our local elected officials. Because they count the calls, and listen to what you have to say, your calls shape both law and policy!
Call your Senators about the Supreme Court appointment. They need and want to hear from you. Call your County Supervisors about mental health funding. Call your Assembly Members and State Senators about saving our environment.
If you can do nothing else, call. If you can do many things for the Blue Wave, call. Enough is enough. Time to make some calls.
Any other president — Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama — would have been here, immediately, standing with us to rebuild. Any other president would have denounced —immediately —the white supremacy rally just outside his house. Any other president would have ensured that the children were already reunited with their families. At this point, some think any other president —any other! — would be an improvement. We know … we don’t want Pence, and we cannot take this guy any longer.
