The Republican Party is fighting back against impeachment, robocalling supporters to flood Member of Congress phone lines against impeachment. It’s up to us to overwhelm them with calls to our own Congressmen and Senators!
Locally, it’s time to move California beyond the cycle of fires, evacuations, and blackouts. Robust community microgrids can provide us with clean and safe power during fire weather, allowing large-grid power lines to be shut down to prevent fires and evacuations, while maintaining essential power supplies with clean, locally-generated and stored energy.

5,500 Children Ripped from their Parents

I Support Impeaching and Removing Donald Trump

Yes, he is innocent until you find him guilty. But, frankly, the evidence already public is enough for all to see: Trump has abused his office by extorting and endangering an ally for personal gain, insisting that they provide false accusations against a political opponent to enable his own reelection. The bribery, high crimes and misdemeanors are all in plain sight. Remove him and bar him from ever holding office again.

NO Bribing of Senate Jurors

Bribing jurors is a mob tactic, so it’s not surprising Trump would use it. That doesn’t make it ok. Tell Senators: if you’re taking funds from Trump, you can’t be a credible juror. You must recuse.

Pass the SAFE Act, No ‘Compromises’

Mitch McConnell has refused to bring the House’s SAFE Act to the Senate floor for a vote but, stung by his new nickname of #MoscowMitch, wants to bring an alternative bill to the floor instead. The problem is that he omitted ALL election security requirements from his bill, turning it into funds which may be misused to buy hackable voting machines – just what Mitch wants. Vote NO on his “no-strings” bill and insist on passage of the SAFE Act.

Fund Clean & Smart Community Microgrids!

PG&E's blackouts last month were unacceptable and illustrate that we are living with an archaic and dangerous energy system.
Please fund clean and smart microgrids that use local renewable energy with battery storage for safety and resilience. The first community microgrids should be established in high fire risk areas in disadvantaged communities to support critical facilities such as water supply, wastewater treatment, first responders, city halls, schools, and health care centers
Some California local governments have already started developing community microgrids, such as in Oakland, Eureka, and Santa Barbara. These efforts need to expand to other communities immediately. A statewide program that provides the funding and technical support to conduct collaborative, participatory planning processes is also essential.
Community microgrids are the logical next step in California’s remarkable history of energy policy innovation. Please act now to help to create a clean, resilient, more affordable and equitable electricity system.
