Reunite ALL of the Children

Monday: Christine Ford’s Allegation Deserves a Fair Investigation
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask the Senator to continue to push for a fair and full investigation into the allegations by Dr Christine Blasey Ford that Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when she was 15.
Dr Ford’s testimony thus far has been deeply compelling. And yet Senate Republicans have done everything in their power to try to make her go away. While they’ve granted her a hearing, there is still no guarantee that it will be fair. Worse, they aren’t compelling Mark Judge, alleged accomplice and witness, to testify. Nor are they asking the FBI to investigate. It’s a kangaroo court, led by Senator Grassley. Dr Ford and the nation deserve better.

Tuesday: It’s a Job Interview, Not a Trial
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask the Senator to frame the Kavanaugh nomination not as a trial, but as a job interview.
Republicans are working hard to frame the nomination wrongly to help them win: that Kavanaugh is being unfairly accused and that unless he is proven guilty, he should become Supreme Court judge for life. Nonsense.
This isn’t a trial. Kavanaugh doesn’t face a jail sentence or any other punishment. It’s a job interview and he needs to prove he’s worthy of the position. If there’s reasonable doubt, not that he’s guilty but that he’s worthy of the job, he must be rejected. DON’T let the Republicans get away with talking about this as a trial. It’s not. It’s the highest-stakes hiring decision the Senate will make for the foreseeable future. Do it right.

Wednesday: I Believe Christine Ford
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to tell the Senator that I believe Dr Christine Blasey Ford and I’m asking the Senator to stand with her.
Dr Ford’s story is all-too believable: the story itself rings true, she’s taken a polygraph test and passed it, and she has corroborating evidence of having discussed the event in the past. Furthermore, she’s the one pushing for an investigation. Why would she do that if she weren’t telling the truth?
On the other hand, Kavanaugh has lied several times during the process about other matters, and appears to be collaborating with other Republicans to derail Ford and to keep her from testifying. It’s even likely that he’s been involved in libelous accusations of others to take the heat off of himself. Like Trump, Kavanaugh is seeking to undermine any investigation, not to use it to clear his name. What innocent person would do that?
I stand with Christine Ford. I thank the Senator for doing the same.
