Our Armed Forces Aren’t Republican Stuntmen

American troops are for our protection. They should never be deployed for a stunt and should never, ever be a tool for the promotion of a political party. Yet that is exactly what Trump is doing: pretending there’s a “crisis” 1,000 miles away, made of suffering Hondurans, and vowing to “protect” us from it, all in order to boost Republican chances in next week’s election. The caravan itself isn’t scary enough, it appears, so now he wants to juice it up with soldiers. Please tell Donald Trump: Hell, no.

The press is doing a terrible job of putting Trump’s efforts in context, yet the context is critical: Trump is a white nationalist and he is promoting their agenda. The same agenda that the Tree of Life shooter was responding to – in which people of color and Jews are seen as endangering America, which white nationalists feel must remain white-majority and white-controlled. The caravan hoax, the elimination of 14th Amendment-mandated birthright citizenship, sending troops to the border – they are all standard-issue white nationalism, clear to any of its followers. The American people need to know. Please don’t shy from telling them.

Fight Republican Court-packing
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask the Senator to use every available tactic, no matter how petty or small, to throw a wrench in the works of Republican judicial nominations.
The Republicans are packing the courts as fast as they can and they are trampling over every Senate custom and norm to do it. They showed, too, in the Kavanaugh hearings that they loathe and despise all of their Democratic “colleagues”. The lesson is: stop cooperating with them. At all. Use every technique available: endlessly question nominees, submit voluminous written questions, boycott committee markups and object to unanimous consent agreements. Every single time, every single nominee. And refuse to be party to any agreements that result in more judicial nominations. If Schumer tries it again, chose another leader. ENOUGH. FIGHT BACK!
