In a meeting this week with Representative Jared Huffman, we discussed the need to begin impeachment hearings, which he has supported for over a year because of the many impeachable offenses Trump had already committed in plain view. Jared had a recommendation: tell our other Members of Congress and the Speaker of the House that they should be more concerned about the dangers of not beginning impeachment hearings.
If you’re a Huffman constituent, please take time this week to thank him for his smart and principled stance. And if you’re a Thompson constituent, please call multiple times and let him know it’s time to begin impeachment hearings – or we risk ceding legitimacy to Trump’s claims of exoneration by giving him a pass.

Block Arm Sales to Saudi Arabia and the UAE

Hold a Climate Debate!

Keep Families Together, YES on SB 136

SB 136 will advance racial justice and fairness and help keep families together. This bill repeals a mandatory one-year sentence enhancement that is added to an individual’s base sentence for each prior prison or felony jail term served. Research shows that sentence enhancements like the one addressed by SB 136 do not make our communities safer or deter crime. Instead, these enhancements tear families apart. Eliminate Plastic Pollution and Waste
