Trump is rapidly consolidating the dictatorial power he has always sought and there’s no time to waste – certainly not until the next election. Our representatives must fight back hard now.

Begin Impeachment Hearings!
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [the MoC] to insist that the House of Representatives begin impeachment hearings immediately.
After the release of the Mueller report, the question isn’t whether Trump deserves to be impeached. It’s whether Democrats will have the courage impeach him. Pelosi and others have urged caution, concerned that impeachment might hurt rather than help them in the next election. We believe their hesitation and fear is irresponsible and dangerous. This is no normal political situation: Trump is an autocrat who is quickly consolidating power. Democrats must be bold and aggressive, fighting for the survival of our democracy, for that is what is on the line and may be quickly lost if Trump is not countered immediately. Total Confrontation!

There is no option but total confrontation.
These are no normal times and the form and pace of normal oversight process is no match for a president who is abusing the power of his office to eliminate and neuter all opposition. Hearings are useless if Trump’s minions refuse to appear. Investigations will be stymied if documents are withheld. Above all, nothing will move forward if days or weeks are allowed while processes play out. You now know what we’re facing: use your power to fiercely oppose it. Have subpoenas ready and contempt charges waiting right behind them. Jail and impeach anyone who stands in your way. Find every aggressive power you have and use it at the first sign of resistance. If you don’t, Congress as our founders designed it will cease to exist.
