We urge our Senators to oppose the nominations of Pompeo and Haspel to important roles in this administration. We expect them to oppose the nomination of the NRA’s favorite attorney as a Federal Judge. We seek safe social media platforms. And we ask our Members of Congress to oppose, in all possible ways, the appointment of an unstable warmonger to a position of trust as National Security Advisor.

●    Closing the loophole that lets people buy guns at shows and through private sellers without background checks
●    Instituting universal background checks for ammo and gun buyers, a measure 80% of gun owners support
●    And funding evidence-based community antiviolence programs, like Ceasefire, which have been shown to reduce shootings.

John Bolton is an unrepentant hawk, a man so extreme that he couldn’t even win Republican support during the Bush years. With Trump’s madness and Bolton’s eagerness for war, we are in real danger. I need the [MoC] to do everything in [his/her] power to limit the damage Bolton can cause and to get him out as quickly as possible. Our lives may well depend on it.

Facebook is Failing Democracy

I’m calling to ask [the MoC] to demand testimony from Mark Zuckerberg about Facebook’s lax treatment of customer data that led to the Cambridge Analytica theft and subsequent and possibly illegal use of data to help elect Donald Trump.

Facebook made little or no effort to protect either their data or democracy during the 2016 election and before. They are too big and too critical to be allowed to maximize profits and ignore everything else. And Zuckerberg’s reaction to the crisis is too weak and too insignificant to be trusted. They need to be regulated and Zuckerberg needs to testify before Congress. Will [the MoC] demand his testimony?

Protect Mueller

Republicans are once again signaling to Trump that he can roll right over them and that they’ll gladly forgo their oath of office so that he can do whatever he wants. This will surely include firing Robert Mueller once the whim takes him. This must not happen.

Will [the MoC] publicly shame any and all colleagues who refuse to defend the Mueller investigation? And will [the MoC] prepare to take the most drastic action if Trump does pull the trigger?

NO on Pompeo and Haspel

Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to demand that [the MoC] reject the nominations of Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State and Gina Haspel as Director of the CIA.

Pompeo is a dangerous hawk and has a reputation of fawning all over Trump. Haspel oversaw torture and then destroyed the evidence. Neither can be trusted with the jobs they’ve been nominated for. It’s essential the Senator vote “NO” on both.

Nielson is one of the NRA’s favorite lawyers. I don’t think I really have to say anything else.
